The village of Uzumlu, at an altitude of over 2000ft, is located in the Taurus Mountain range, near Fethiye. Surrounded by pine forests and olive trees the area is perfect for walking and relaxing in peaceful upspoilt countryside.
Uzumlu village has a weekly market, restaurants and local shops. The nearby bustling town of Fethiye offers extensive shopping (including 2 large supermarkets), boat trips to the bays and islands within Fethiye Bay, beaches and numerous restaurants. The nearest beach is only a 20 minute drive from the villa.
The world famous blue lagoon of Oludeniz with unspoilt beaches and crystal clear water is 41 minute drive.
Within easy distance are many ancient Roman, Greek and Lycian sites. Activities inluding paragliding, diving, canoeing and horse riding are available near to Fethiye.
Within a couple of kilometres from the villa are the Roman ruins at Cadianda.
There a numerous boat trips for days out from nearby Calis and Fethiye, details of some of these can be provided.
The Dalyan mudbaths are about an hour and a half away from the villa and the famous Iztuzu beach.
Fethiye has a busy market and shopping in the modern and old town.
Saklikent Canyon is worth a visit as is the Lycian hilltop citadel at Tlos.
